Facebreaker Welcome to the soundtrack to every zombie book I've ever read - well, that's what this album feels like anyway. The song titles, the cover art and the sound of the album all scream "ZOMBIE!"... and I love it!

Initially I was amazed by well produced this album is - I guess I was expecting something a little more amateur. I have no idea why, because everything about this CD is completed to an extremely high and professional standard. The cover art looks damn awesome and the music is produced to such a good level so that you can easily hear every little element. The drums sound full, the bass is audible (which is better than quite a few Death Metal releases I could name) and the way lead guitar screams (check out "The Awakening" for a taster) is just superb!

The tracks that really stood out on the first couple of listens were "Slowly Rotten" (what a great way to open!), "Dead, Rotten and Hungry", "The Awakening", "Walking Dead", "Burner", "Unlock The Horror" and "Devoured By Decay". Considering that list covers most of the album, you know that you'll definitely be getting your money's worth. The riffs and grooves throughout the album really make it memorable and give it that all-important 'repeated listen' factor. I'm sure that I'll still be listening to "Dead, Rotten and Hungry" in a few months time.

I've tried to find a fault with "Dead, Rotten and Hungry". I really have. I've searched through the tracks trying to find one that was placed there as a filler - I failed. What would I change about this album? Not a fuckin' thing! If you're a fan of Death Metal and love a good horror flick, then you'll love this as much as I do. I definitely need to find out more about Facebreaker.

So, throw this on your CD player, grab your weapon and slaughter some zombies... Or maybe just play "House of the Dead" III while you listen to it - it seems like a match made in a particularly violent corner of Hell.
