Review

Temujin When I first started to listen to this album I couldn't help but be concerned that Temujin were just another female fronted Gothic Metal band. While Temujin are still most certainly a female-fronted Gothic Metal band, they have managed to separate themselves from the herd. The vocals never drift into the operatic terrority that's favoured by many bands at the moment and there seems to be a lot of focus on the lead guitar (the tone of which sounds great). The best thing about the vocals is that they sound honest.

"1000 Tears" isn't as heavy as I usually like my Metal, but it does have a certain something that makes me want to continue to listen to it. This is Gothic Metal that really makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. Musically it's sound and it's amazing that there are only two band members in Temujin. For someone like myself, this would be great music to listen to when I just needed to chill out - perhaps on a Sunday morning or something.

As far as I'm aware, "1000 Tears" is the result of a couple of years worth of writing and I can assure you that the band's hard work has definitely paid off.

So, recommended tracks? The title track definitely gets a thumbs up from me (the riff is just so darn catchy), as do "All of You" and "Blue Jay".
